The trip will take you to several traditional artisan communities on the outskirts of Hoi An.
Tra Que hamlet, a historic settlement, is a wonderful location for those interested in learning how the locals produce vegetables and fertilize the fresh green vegetable beds. You will be able to directly work with locals to produce vegetables using the most traditional methods, as well as explore and learn more about the veggies cultivated here.
Then we’ll go to Thanh Ha pottery village, which is claimed to be the oldest hamlet in Hoi An as well as the oldest in the Central area.
After arriving, you will get the opportunity to learn about pottery production from local homes and begin creating little clay things in various styles with the help of locals.
and, before proceeding to the next artisan village, you will receive a modest present for swapping tickets to acquire the merchandise at this location.
“Our tour guide Billy was highly educated, kind, and one of the greatest tour guides. My husband and I have met in our numerous trips. We went on a private trip and saw and did everything on the program.”
Hoi An has long been known for its silk production. Handmade silk villages along the Thu Bon River have historically contributed to embellishing a vibrant Hoi An with culture and commerce port. However, driving too far to see the silk-making hamlet is impossible for the trip, so instead, we will visit the craft studio in Hoi An, which recreates for us how silk is manufactured and weaved, as well as how a female worker produces a picture from needle and thread embroidery. This offers you a better insight of the profession and resourcefulness of the people of Hoi An.
Next, we’ll head to a lantern-making workshop in the historic town of Hoi An. Different product components and materials are used to meet the demands of guests. The craftsmen here will next show you how to create a lantern. A really priceless experience.
Finally, we will go to the Cam Thanh natural region, which is roughly 5 kilometers southeast of Hoi An. During the Vietnam War, this was the most dangerous battleground in Hoi An, and several attacks by American planes devastated the Vietcong camp here. Today, this location has been invested in and converted into an eco-tourism area of Hoi An, which is liked and enjoyed by many visitors every time they visit.
You will be able to row bamboo baskets with the locals and visit the world-famous nipa forest, which is located at the mouth of the sea and the Thu Bon River. Then we’ll have lunch before returning safely to the hotel.
